And now the moment we have all been waiting for.... After 10 days in and around Cape Town and the wine country, we were ready for the drive to Jeffrey's Bay. Kit phoned good friend Stewart Shelver for a surf report, and he said the waves were small but a new swell was due to arrive TOMORROW!! Kit drove like a grandma on the windy and crooked coastal road, and we traveled after dark, landing in J Bay at 9:00 p.m. The lineup shot below was our first glimpse of Supertubes' glory the following morning.
